New Zealand 3 Man Paintball Masters - Series over the first half of 2008:

Venues:
Auckland
Central North Island
Wellington

Format:
3 Man, NPPL Rules, Open Class, Unlimited Paint.
Rosters a maximum of 4 people per team, who are locked to the teams for the series. There will be no sandbagging, or players guesting on teams at events.

Paint: BYOP or purchase from organisers (Pre Order at Market Prices). Suppliers, I am currently tendering for an official paint supplier for each venue, so let me know what your best prices are for each venue.

Field: Sup Air. We are looking for a field for each venue, field owners – please let me know if your field is available and if it is used you will be listed as the official field for the venue.

Entry Fee: $100 per team.

This will be a 3 man series, looking to bring back the fun that was at Skinny's events. It will be 3 x 3 events in the first half of 2008, and if successful there will be another 3 events in the 2nd half of the series.

There will be prizes at each event for first, second and third places, as well as prizes at the end of the series for overall winners. The hope is that this will be a mixture of prizes donated by event sponsors both within the Paintball Industry and external sponsors.

For more information please contact series organiser Michael Earley on 027 448 2780.

I am currently looking for sponsors/trade stands for this series, if you are interested in:

a) Cash Sponsors
b) Product sponsors
c) Media sponsor/official publication (i.e. radio, print, TV etc)
d) Product booth/shop/demonstration

Please let me know, and I will contact you to discuss opportunities.

Sounds like a load of fun, I probably wont be balling due to being a poor student by then.

Suggestion: UAPL style field layout :D

Theres been a question asked on the other site, seeing as I can't post there (and the site owners want nothing to do with this, manually editing the link so it doesn't go here), answers are here:

a) "Why is there no south island event"
b) Because I'm organising it, as I can easily get to AKL, Welly and the Centre of the North Island. Its th easiest way of getting it up and running, yes a SI event would be nice, and will happen if the first 3 events are successful. But I want this event to get off the ground rather than sit in planning stages, there are more eople in the NI and SIers are more likely to travel than NIers.

It sucks, but its the reality. So once the event takes off, we will hopefully see a SI event, but any sponsors are going to want decent numbers etc, and its easier to sell the idea of events in the main centres, than it is in smaller cities. ITs a numbers game.

Its still in the planning stages, but the goal is to be $100 per team per event, which should just cover costs. ($30 per person) of field hire etc.

As a suggestion, if there is a significant minority demanding hopper+X have 2 classes:
Unlimited (as much paint as you like) and Limited (Hopper +X).
when 2 Unlimited teams met it is open paint
when a Limited team plays limit the paint that can be used (even if it is vs. an Unlimited team).

This way the Unlimited teams (likely more experienced players) will be exposed to a wider range of conditions and have to be able to formulate (and use) a wider range of games plans, while the limited teams will not just be hammered.
