Hey guys,

I don't know if anyone here will remember me, Names Thomas and i used to originally play for "Solidair", then moved to playing for Menace with my blue/black borg before leaving the paint ball scene to travel.

Long story short I'm selling all my gear on Trademe currently and am still puzzled by the whole HPA bottle scene. I was always under the impression that there was only the one or two bottles legal/recognized in New Zealand the Luxfer something a rather. But then i have been out of the loop for some time. And several newer links have confused me further.

My bottle is a DOT-E11005
Other numbers printed on bottle: TC-3FCM, 6121A-31149, M4927, 12-IA11-99, 6451P97.

It's a Max Attack 3000PSI bottle made by Pressure Technology, Maryland USA for Mac Dev.

I'm hesitant to sell it on as i don't want to burden the paint ball scene by throwing around another illegal tank for everyone to worry about, but if someone can confirm (as its been suggested to me) that its legal but just not "recognized by erma" then that may change my mind.

It would also be handy to find this out for if i decide to buy new gear and return to the sport at a later date, it'd be nice to check out how the NZ paint ball world is going. I'd browse the forum more but its all a foreign language to me now, are there still the 5mans held out in Papakura to check out ???

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you guys can provide. :)

Theres no current luxfer 3k tanks that are legal in Nz right now. The main one that gets used here is the luxfer P11F which is a 68cui, 4500psi tank. Theres an SCI 91cu and I think a Steel 3k may have just come in to legality, but other than that there isnt much.

MikeE's thread is probably your best bet for info on the tank matter.

Its not legal afik.

Powerdrill time, will make a nice doorstop. Or better still sell overseas.

Or you could destroy the tank and sell the reg seperately.

Thanks for the confirmation, thats what i figured.

Reg will be sold with marker with no tank as i first planned.

Was surprised when someone said it would be legal when they hadn't even seen the bottle itself. Made me wonder if someone had some amazing break through and got all tanks recognized. But nothings ever that simple :P

Again thanks for the quick responses,
Tom.

Just out of curiosity, who was that someone?

And yes, before you say it, the law on this *is* retarded.

Lol, Not sure how they can tell you its legit without knowing the model number. Good on your for being responsible about it though! You might also want to list it in the Buy Sell and Swap section on this website.
