So who's coming to the NZPL event in Easter.
From memory on the old site we had:
Hybrid
Another Hybrid Team (name TBA)
Flashpoint
Actions Team
ChCh Team
Evil
Anyone else stumping up or have a feel for what other teams are doing?
The Menace family? Saints, BlackOps, Fallen, HSR, Smash & Grab ... who have I missed?
Rik told me that he's got some crazy Saints team coming down for easter.

Menace as I undertsand it from Matt wont be there.

i dont know the name but i know sombody who is starting up a new team for easter he also knows gram he was saying that hsr is going to trane with them
to try and make them ready to play in easter
Menace are over seas concentrated this year?
I think some players mentioned that they were making a team outta those Menace players that could afford / Wanted to play NZ too??

I spoke to Graham yesterday he said that there were 8 coming but entries close Wednesday....
who are the confirmed teams?,and how do we get more to jump in 8 is do'able but more would be better?.
The Chch team has paid entry most of us are from the Fallen but we are changing our name.Flashpoint plus i still think Nelson are going thats 3 from the south what's happening up north guys just not keen anymore?
well it seems that alot of teams have evaporated into nothinness i remember my first roto there were heaps of teams back then.
ultimately we need more players,or we need to cut down to a format that requires less players that way we get more teams.
Andy - they must be scared.........
I am keen to go, if a team need a player just send me an e-mail.

I must admit..and Yes Stylo I will be there.I am amazed at the lack of teams.
But at the end of the day..Its counts if you go..cos it dont count fo nodda if you werent.

Antsman, I heard yesterday from josh that that team wasn't going? I'm not sure, but I think that may have been the one I was to be playing in. I finally have my marker in Welly so I'm good to go. Not that I have really played tourney, but it's long enough till easter that I should become at least passable assuming I can find someone to train with once or twice a week. And put in some trigger time at home. Email if you wanna sort stuff out, or not:

I know on the NZ paintball site there was a poll going on what field to use at easter. Im curious as to what eventuated with that. Can anyone help?

the A.P.A. doesn't have a team to enter.... How ever there is some people wanting to play!
If your team is short I am sure they would happily fill it for you!

I think Alex is refering to set up of the Air Field what design etc is going to be used.. Could be wrong though..
ah yeah I think you're right. I can't remember in that case, I think it was the NPPL standard field? Gah, no idea.

That makes 10 teams. We are still looking for a crew of refs. We need people to help out with this event. Symon and I are stupid busy at the moment and don't have the time to run the whole event.
Most of the event is sorted just the little things now. I am going to speak to Rob about costs for the compressor and the ref t-shirts. I will post the costs here .If we end up taking the refing job in turns we will have a fair bit of $$ for food and drink at the event.
I still have a group of fresh players looking to play in this event. If there are any others who would like to join these guys please post here. They have 4 players. I also have 3 Ions left for sale.
I am happy that this event is still going ahead. There was a time where Symon and I had thought that it wasn't going to happen. It is a lot smaller than we expected but it gives us all a start to get back to enjoyable events. A rebuild of sorts.
Airball field.
The field I bought of John is waiting on the dock in LA for Rob's next container. I'm not sure if it will be here in time. Has anyone got a field that we can borrow?? I've heard that the Black Op's guys and Kyn J have good fields. The NZPL will pay for the freight if needed and could throw in $200 for the hassle.
Costs
The only known cost so far is the park at $129 (have paid bond of $200).
I'll give Kyn a call Kyn tonite, we are still keen on putting a team together from akl.. just a bit of a struggle to get a crew of 7.
Hey I'm still keen to play of course, see the thread about loose players in this section.
Otherwise I'll be happy to help out in any way I can.

Ok the young guns plus a couple extras have a team confirmed, so I get to play :)
I guess that makes twelve teams total now, maybe another one or two even
Looks like we will have around 11 or 12 teams.
Costs so far are
Compressor hire and ref shirts $500
Petrol for compressor $300
Netting and signs for field $800
Field hire $129
Airball hire ($500)?
Total $2229
We have $1600 to spend on refs if we can find them. If not then we can have the event catered for everyone. Still trying to get a crew of refs but not many people are interested.
Ants is helping out a lot with the field setup. He will need 3 or so people to help him out on Friday with the netting. We will also need a crew of people there early on Saturday or Friday night to help set the field up.
