Best Firing Speed??

What is the best speed to fire an Ion at???? In regards to Feet Per Second. (ive heard 230 fps is pretty accurate) Preferably for maximum use in speedball?? Tell me what you all think.

Unless the field has a lower limit I would set it to 280fps. At this speed any fluctuations in velocity won't bring it over 300, and I personally find it's a little more accurate (probably just me though). At 230fps you'll be struggling to get balls to break on people.

300fps is the limit at tournaments, probably safe to set it at 290fps as if ya gun is fluctuating +/- 20fps ya in trouble

yeah exactly, if you can work out the +/- of your consitancy, then you can work out where you should set it. If your reg can keep it to +/-15, then 280-285 should be ok.

Higher ends can be set closer to the 300 mark, due to the much tigher consistancy. Set it at 280, and see how you go.

I agree with these guys on this one though, 280 fps is good for an ion.

It might depend on your local govt limits as well - I'm assuming that the legal side of things in India does not restrict you?
