So Huntington Beach is only a month or so away ... so the time has come to cast your vote and chat away on the winners, losers and general predictions.

The order of the poll is how teams finished in the series in 2007 ... with the top 3 Semi-Pro teams making up the total 18. Not sure what's the story with Joy's spot with them leaving the series in 08.

Center court field design is below for your reference:

I can see Ironmen and Dynasty having a field day with that layout!

I thought Raiderz brought Joys spot?

Im picking aftermath to easily make top 8 due to some new additions.....

I voted Dynasty. I don't want to, but other then a team pulling another Oakland Blast this year Dynasty is super hungry to reclaim what they see as there tourny. They haven't won it in two years so expect them to have put in a huge load of work in the off season to put this right.
My choices
1. Dynasty.
2. Infamous. (Always a solid team, lost Gator Glaze to retirement but have kept the core of there squad)
3. Impact. (Team on the rise without the super stars should be in the hunt this year, Davey is playing Impact only now)
4. Hurricanes. (Another team doing it all the right way. Are picking up a super star not becasue they have to but becasue they can. Dramatic improvement near the tail of last year thanks to "Winning Skills" and a new age trainign program, has a MASSIVE base of talent and support to draw from)

I hope that the Ironmen can prove me wrong but after loosing 4 players including key destroyers Mr U. and Ryan Williams I can't see that happening. They have picked up Scott Kemp and possibly Kasey Field but they are going to need time to get the combinations working. Heart says yes, mind says no.

Naughty Dogs and Avalanche. To inconsistant to tell. I don't know to much about the Avs but I've read nothing bad either. Dogs at this point only have 6 players! and the new farm team Dogs Silver has 2 full teams *shrug* Lost MAJOR players from the line up. Hector Cardona, Tyler Macklusky, Kasey Field, Colt Roberts. Added Tyler Harmon. But still in the red.

Rage to do better. Because they can't do much worse :) New Gun, big deal. Emotional team that had a horrible start to last year both on and off the field that got under there skin and stayed there. Kept most of there players and could end up with Hector Cardona.

Heard that Joy is leasing there spot to Bad Company. Bad Company to be using a mix of the new RSX and Ego. Possible full time return of the legend Tom Cole. Lost a ton of players though. JC has gone to Arsenal and JP to Moscow Phonex/Boston Red Legion.

Yeah I wasn't picking Ironmen after the bushwackers beat them. X-factor are rapidly becoming a powerhaus team, the next dynasty?

Hmm, i think thats entirely unrelated. Nerd. Since when does a team have to be IN a poll to be voted for?

Umm I watched the nppl vid and noticed one of the teams do the haka. Is this like a Hawaiian version of it?

nope, kamate kamate was in there and it's purely kiwi. I think it was just a mashed up shortened version, and I think some of the maori was made up...

Few of the AFL teams have been doing the haka some people have been shit stirring in the paper round the issue, kinda meh if at least they did a proper haka maybe one of the guys is distantly kiwi?

The team doing the "Haka" was a team from polynesia and it wasnt realllyyyyy a haka.

ah, well if they're from polynesia then I guess that's ok, but I'd be interested to see what the, uh, local kaumatua think of that one!

imho if I went overseas with a Kiwi team I'd make sure there was either a Maori on the team or we had cleared it with some Maori - or ideally do a different Haka. It's a tradition I have a whole lot of respect for. That said it would be very, very sweet to do it, but I wonder if the average Kiwi paintballer could do it any kind of justice lol.

If I was to do a haka it wouldn't be the one the All Blacks do.
While I was studying Taiaha, we had to learn a haka that had more to do with honouring than weopon then destroying the oposition. It also incorporated the use of the Taiaha as part of it aswell.
I think that if an nz team does some sort of haka at an international event, it would be damn cool to do one that incorporates a paintball marker as well!
