I got a little handheld crono and it needed a new battery, the proper Cr 1/3n or energiser 2L76 is very hard to find
so i stacked two energiser a76/lr44 's the trick is you must use the + from the top cell for the power contact and insulate the outer (+) of the lower cell. otherwise you only end up with 1.5v instead of the required 3v.
how i did it
i pressed the batts together in the vice (lightly) and added a drop of CA glue which holds them together. Then put a thin strip of insulation tape around the outer edge of the bottom cell, leaving the top cell's outer exposed. wrap a bit of tinfoil around the cells making sure its tight around the top cell and continues down the bottom over the insulation you have just put there, tape or ca glue that on and pop it in the crono and whala
easier than chasing them other batteries, these ones were from a camera shop - they sell them at DSE
