So will people be migrating back to paintball.co.nz???
Well I like the set up of this forum alot more function's and doesn't seem to be too much bitching (touch wood).. Suppose will have alook every now and then..
I hope not, this forum is heaps better in almost every way I can think of.

Well this board was here when NZPB was still under Rob, and will remain under the new management as well. What the users do - well that's over to them :)
But it's clear that the new management have concerns - which is a pity. They've blocked www.paintball.org.nz as a URL ... you can't put it into posts at all. (And that was never the case under Rob).
Still - nice to see .co.nz alive again.
Edit - apparently the URL block is unintentional ... and will be fixed! Excellent news!

Thats a bit stupid, why try to split the community? Its already small enough

Looks like it might be much of the same problems as before if they aren't letting you link to this site, or in fact banning people just because they post stuff some people don't want to read or be told(MikeE). The thing I am annoyed at, is am I going to have to check both boards now to get the full picture as to what is going on in NZ paintball. I could really see the point in trying to have one main page for all baller's.
IMHO I think this page has a way cooler and more mature and standard outlook compared to other forums on the net on how to run forum.
It sounds like they are trying to control what is said and who says it.
I dont like the look of that at all.

since posting, I have been in touch with matt who has assured me that these bans will be lifted...
Im BANNED so it tells me..guess I was a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad boy for questioning Free speech..lucky I wasnt in China ..I would be shot by now.

I agree about this site..Its slick its smooooooooooooth and even better oh so SEXY.
Bschizzle:)
From what MikeE said, it might be from before the new management took over, perhaps the old management banned you? I dunno... hope its all sorted in the long run..
so it may seem so who is the new management of this reincarnated site that we see before us.

I notice the domain is still under Rob's name.
I guess the new owner hasnt updated the domain yet.
Be interesting to see what happens.

The Menace group were reporting on Sunday at the 5's that they were the new owners. Nice to see that ownership is staying in NZ!
Apparently the bannages are legacy, so new owners are going to make decisions on that ... and the URL ban was unintentional and will be removed :)
All good!
Apparently its owned by a group of paintballers from NZ/Aus...
Edit - apparently the URL block is unintentional ... and will be fixed! Excellent news!
Not unitentional... just a carry over from old forums.. like myself and B2... but should be fixed in the near future... as long as I don't tell the management of the new one that they need to get a life and get laid :-)

Hi all, The issues that some have experienced on the site are as Mike and Martin D have explained - they are legacy issues that have not yet been addressed. The site was reactivated at midnight last night so there hasn't been much time to work through it. Ownership extends beyond just menace but it was menace who felt it would be a shame to loose the site all together and came up with the resolve to find a way to bring it back after all Robs hard work over the years. I hope this helps with some of the questions.
As Martin rightly said - this board was around while the NZ Paintball site was running and Martin has done a great job. I don't see it as one board over the other - I just didn't want to see the NZ Paintball site leave us for good and the queries we got from the Ausies about the closure of the site kinda made it clear to us that it played an important role.
All the best guys and gals.

All good Neil! The key thing is that it's still held within the greater family ... so that's all good. Look forward to seeing what happens over there once you guys find your feet.

Menace coming down? or just you?
Would be great to see how you guys play now, after all that experience in OZ against Infamous etc....
I think a couple of the Menace lads are playing for the Saints.
FUCK
APG just put a personal email in their fucking newsletter.
NEW Zealand paintball players are in an information limbo now, according
to Michael Earley, who said "Last nite Maddox threw all the toys out
of the cot and closed down the nzpaintball message board, and will
soon be closing down the site according to an email sent to all
members." So, for info, check out www.paintball.org.nz/community/
I'd like to officially say that this was a personal email from Myself to Dave Norman at APG on the night that the boards were closed down and was supposed to be private and confidential as per the disclaimer at the bottom of the email.
While true that the toys were thrown out of the cot, it was completely inappropriate to have been published by APG like that, and I have asked that at my request a retraction be emailed and apology given.
I'd also like to note that there is no official link between myself and this board, the mention of this board on that is purely because it was the only thing available to communicate with at the time.
With this in mind, and with considerable embarresment I'd like to tender my resignation from the NZPPA committee and am sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Damn. That kind of thing can be damaging.
