Well it's all go for 27th Dec. Field will be up on Friday morning 26th (Boxing Day) for anyone wanting to have a practice run. The intention is to start earlyish in Saturday 27th - 9.30, depends on numbers.

You can stay at the site with camper/tent or bring a sleeping bag/air mattress and sleep in the hall or one of the changing rooms for free on 26th and 27th. Showers available at no charge for any that stay over Saturday night.

Sunday morning we can have "grudge match" challenges or "free for all" with everyone in, or training sessions or anything else that comes up.

I am organising the local surf club to man the kitchen and bar (upstairs) for evening "refreshments" and breakfast both Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning. We'll have paintball DVDs running in the bar night before.

Food including BBQ steak sandwiches plus soft drinks available on site on Saturday

The venue is Te Kiri Hall, Eltham Rd, Te Kiri, 10 km inland from Opunake.

Paint (FPO): Pro- $70/box, Tournament- $65/box, Field- $55/box

Air (compressor) and CO2 fills available on site.

$15 walk on fee per player, 5 man teams.

Depending on team numbers, will probably split to two divisions. Will have paint for prizes.

EFTPOS available on site.

Intend to have clay bird shooting available also.

Any profits will go to the Opunake Surf Life Saving Club.

Teams should register at paintball@corkillsystems.co.nz. by 20th December latest.

Any questions, email or phone 0800 758559 (SKULLZ)

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks and regards,

Steve Corkill

Bit of a shame really. Sounds like it will be lots of fun.

Well it involves me on a crotch rocket screaming around a curtain cemetery you may know about...

And all going well keeping the rubber side down!

I always like watching stroud, even though if he does look like a gorilla on a clown bike on a 600.. looks much more at home on a thou though...

Might take the bike for a scoot this afternoon if the weather holds.

My first reply to Marty had a "wink" in it. ;)

I was beginning to wonder what sort of sheltered existence you were living if you live in wanganui and hadn't been to the races

Awesome event Steve.
Thanks for hosting such a fine event.
I know I can speak for all who attended as I only heard comments of praise.
It was terrific to see so many new teams and players all contributing to the friendly and sociable atmosphere.
And big thanks to the Surf Club for the meals (although we had to take off early) they were pretty tempting to be late home for after a big day. I hope you did alright out of it. Worthy cause.
Looking forward to it being an annual event .... Steve? ;)
