- Hopper plus 12x pods / team / game

- For this tournament to commence, it will require a minimum of 6x teams per Div registered and paid

I have just sold my shares in aces high paintball so wont be running the queens birthday tournie as planned but dont panic Brendon is now going to run this with the help of Terry so should still be a good event.
Please get in behind him and give him the support he needs

I would imagine that it's to reduce the overall cost of the tournament. An admirable decision.

hmmm personaly i dont agree with it but then again its not my tournament. i believe it should be up to the teams to decide how much paint they want to use. If theyre worried bout not having enough paint, start saving earlier.
Just my opinion. looking forward to the tournament though. hopefuly il have a team set up by then.

It's not really limited paint. Not many teams would go through 12 pods + hoppers a game.
If every player shot every paintball in their harness and ran dry (on 12 pods + hoppers) you're shooting 1.3 cases every single game.
So what I'm saying is don't panic about the limited paint thing ;)
It's a psychological thing though. When you got your back guys carrying 5-7 pods and shooting them you know it's gonna be all good.

yah, hopper plus one for 2front guys hopper plus 2 for one mid insert and 4 mutherfkcin tubes for the 2 backs

i agree, it aint so much ltd paint, you know the total cost worst case scenario for ur team, x the amount of games, = exact price per team/player for the event.
cant see the sense in NOT trying it out.....
Its called budgeting...and the fact we know its on and what date..i cant see any issues..
Except those that dont budget/save and spend it on strippers ..they may have issues...

for an extra $10 a week between now and then you could have both....

last tournament I played at, i was playing front and was going through a hopper plus around 5-7 pods a game.
as a Front player you obviously werent doing your Job then :p
Oh B2 ,you complain about the costs .. and some one step in with an Idea . You did the same to me in Aucks mawhaha
Let the Guys try some thing , as it has been said if teams want to play unlimited then say so ..
I reckon it will be more affordable , for NEW teams to play and it will force you to move and do something ..
I didnt about Auk ..If I had I would have targetted you personally and said $90 case wtf sorta stuff...But I didnt.
I dont often complain..What I talk about is ppl forgetting that it costs money to play..
I know right now...It will cost about the same to play QBD as it did Springs...SO am I not complaining...
Front Player using that much..Thats excessive...even a back guy nowadays doesnt use that much...well not 7pods..5 yes.

New teams to me mean players who havent played Tourney ball before..NOt rebranded guys ..Ie like the Wellers teams...same guys diff team name..

So you have one pod and the lid comes open when you open it or something happens when you slide into your bunker. You now have no paint.

If I wanted to play hooper + 1 I would play the small locals thats the whole point.
Correct my rich 6 figure a year ass if Im wrong but seriously? A tournament in NZ costs what $600 + to traveling teams a people are crying over a few extra balls...

lol, im more of a paint whore than most ,and i think h+12 is good format to try. i didnt realise spike was in tha club too....:) if i earnt as much money as spike id be playin in oz tooooooooooo, (and not bitching bout running out of balls)

I am going to agree with Spike on this. I thought thats why most places run a Local Series (Hopper plus 1/2) to get newer teams up and running and into the Tournament Scene? I look forward to playing the 3 majors during the year for a few reasons but one the main one being that its Open Class!
Its the competitive form of the SPORT of paintball.
Not for New players, maybe new TEAMS, but not exactly where you should go for your first event.
Local series should stay nice and cheap to help promote the sport, a MAJOR series or NAtional eventss should be the pinacle of Paintball in NZ, not a place to create growth, but something for the newer players to aspire to be good enough to play. Motivation to train etc.

hi guys well i am a new person to the whole tourny scene and have started putting a team together 60% of our team has only started playing about 2 months ago
i like the idea aces high have put forward we are pretty certain we will get our asses handed to us at the tourny but we will be there and it will be good experience to play against div 1 teams
it seems they are trying to get some of the small teams to try out speedball since i started posting on that other site ive being inundated with messages from guys (and girls) who are asking if they can join the team ive put together im hoping we can get enough together for 3 teams (as pointed out before) of new players the limited paint format wont worry us as most of us are out before weve emptied our hopper let alone 5 pods
so if theres any waiarapa players casual or serious whod like to attend the tourny just msg me
