Hey guys,

does anyone know what pressure a std C02 fill is approx?

C02 fills are measured in weight, not pressure as such.

This is because at great pressure the co2 is a liquid, as it is used up the liquid turns into a gas so it stays at a general ceiling pressure for a while, then suddenly drops off. I think generally (temp dependant) they are like 700-900PSI.

So when tanks get filled they are weighed because they are mostly filled with liquid CO2. Hence 9oz, 12oz, 16oz etc tanks.

Hopefully answers something...

Thanks JAWA, I knew that tanks were done in weight but am doing a wee project that may involve using C02 and some electronic valves, so kinda needed a idea for tolerances. You may now return to your "sack of seed" :)

Thanks Antsman always a fountain of knowledge. I was pretty sure it was around the 800 - 900 mark (obviously depending on how warm the bottle is etc)

And B2, well..... um..... I spose it is another mistery of the universe... You may now return to your "sack of seed" and ponder it :)
