I have played paintball socially on and off for around 2 years now. I am currently looking at getting my own gear so that I can get into it more seriously and there's just a couple of things that I'm not 100% about.

1. I really wanna play woodsball! But all the sites I go on show mostly speedball. Is woodsball even that big in NZ [Auckland]? And how hard would it be to find a woodsball team?

2. I'm really keen on getting a R.A.M. But I see that most play with the markers that have the hoppers and external tanks. Are RAMs are different style of game or what? This really confuses me.

3. Lastly, how hard is it to actuaaly get into a team. None of my friends or family play so would it be hard to find a good team to play with?

Thanks heaps for your help in advance =]

1:
Check out www.Milsim.co.nz - they're a good bunch of woodsballers in the Auckland area.

2:
RAM is a different style of game. Go to www.NZTGA.co.nz for more info on that.

3:
There aren't really any proper woodsball teams or leagues because woodsball doesn't lend itself to proper competition as well as speedball. I believe there are proper RAM teams around, again check the NZTGA website.

And PS, when you get bored of pretend army and want something faster paced, try speedball :)
