A friend of mine and possibly myself are thinking about the possibility of using Q-Loaders for woodsball - mainly because they look like a grenade launcher and don't stick up annoyingly, but also because they don't use any batteries and still feed at 30something bps. Also they don't get in the way of sighting down the barrel.

There's not much point using them on tourney guns afaik because you can't fire while reloading, and the vertical feedneck pretty much makes the better sighting pointless. Also the pods are too expensive to be leaving around the place to get trod on.

But on an SP8 with a silent barrel attachment and the stock and a remote line... I'm liking the sound of that :)

So what I want to know is does anyone here have any experience with a qloader? What are they like to use and does anyone who'll be at the easter tourney have one I could check out?

heh, yeah it probably wouldn't make a lot of difference to playing. I just get annoyed by bigass hopper sticking out the top of my gun like some kind of a tree growing out or something - kills the effect.

Ask around on some US forums ... but from memory they are a) expensive and b) prone to breaking easily

ok chap they are not hard to set up and are very nice on the setup (sp8) you are talking about they are not to expensive but you would need at leats 5 pods with an sp8 and a 90dgree mounting adaptor they are very easy to set up . i have used them on the sp8 and they are cool and balance it out really well send your email and ill put you in touch with the guy who owns the set up and you can call him and ask him .

You dont need to sight down your barrel anyhow, paintballs arent that accurate......................

just released:

I'd rather put it under the barrel. How are you supposed to shoot left handed with that thing? Maybe it's cos woodsballers have no skills and don't think they need to :p

One guy in Aussie was using one at the south pacs.
Looked really quick and easy to reload, but heard the pods are like $30 each.

He ran it by his bottle and didn't shoot left handed, it suited him but to me it looked like shit but hay thats just me.

provided there is a string of balls in the feed tube pipe you can put the loader anywhere and it will still feed. Twist the gun on its side and it still works, a bit like the AGD warpfeed

Its all about how you play. If you play 1 side, or centre shooting out 1 side of the bunker, it'll suit your play style. If you wanna improve your skills, play every possible position, kill people using both hands and do your job properly without obstructions, you don't want one.

Wait.... i might be a lil bias with that...

I'd only want one for Milsim ball anyway. Definitely not for tourney.

An SP8 with a qloader would be phat for running around an urban combat environment, because it's the only milsim style marker with a qloader that has eyes and a decently walkable trigger (closest thing to auto in NZ). And it's really quiet.

Old threads much? Check the dates before you go posting on all the threads. This ones from a year ago

to answer the question works kinda like a drill bit pushing the balls down to the feed, and yes is spring wound.
