Yesterday this kid lifted his mask to reload his hopper, touched the trigger when it was pointing the wrong way, splat. His eye was imploded and they couldn't find his lens, so now he's permanently blind in that eye.
What's interesting about the incident is that his parents are not blaming paintball or paintball guns. They have no problem with kids playing ball, just so long as they keep their masks on all the time and follow instructions. Good to hear that they have some sense about the matter and it's not being blown all out of proportion.
