As it reads.
I just running wild crazy oh so crazy thoughts thru my head..ok back to Paintball;)
Some of the Chch guys have requested a Bushball Tourney in Dunedin..all good.
Some would like a Scenario Game..just as good
So What say we held it over the same weekend..
The Saturday for the Tourney..obligitory drinks on Sat night with BBQ my place and then on Sunday to finish off with a scenario game.
Now this is open for discussion..However..I would like to think we had afew teams entering into the Tourney and those same teams stayed on to do the Scenario Game..
But also the guys who dont like Speedball Tournies could join in on the action of a Bushball Tourney..old school oh yes:)
Thought/ideas welcomed and if you wanted ,talk to me Re how the scenario could be..your ideas all good.

I would have thought at least some ChcH boyz would have posted since its a idea they asked about.
But the wheels are in process.
Sounds great to me we are concentrating on wellington at the moment so once thats finished with and we take 1st place we will start org for the 5mans and the scenario game.

I changed the date to line it up with the club date dates..
Argh sux, no one plays bush in wellers.
I'd love to be there if I could. Maybe once I've got me an sp8 I'll head down for a sesh sometime. Sounds like a great idea at any rate.
The whole Concept of this event is simple..
The guys who never do the Tourney/ Supa air stuff but enjoy Bushball..this is for them., plus us guys too.Its back to basics ..Ive had this in my mind for ages..just I was asked to run it.
So the Saturday is all about 5 man and some 10man..
Open class meaning unlimited paint..Format to be sorted but it will be within the norm.
Round Robin stuff
Then On Sat night BBQ and Drinks
Sunday with hangovers all gone:) Scenarios..

Now as much as I woudl like this thing to happen..It all comes down to you guys..If not enough players..It will become a one day event..
So even tho some are going to Wellington to play ball..It still is capable of thinking out the square and getting sorted..
Recball guys in Dunedin / Chch/ Invers ..sort out your teams..
Paint yet to be finalised as with Fee..I want interest first.

Just curious... any real differences in bushball rules?
the SPPL have quite a neet tourney ruleset which takes advantage of what can be done in the bush is all and I was wondering if you plan on doing something similar.
The Rules are as I would normally play them..The ones lots of the guys who play ball adhere too..I wont be introducing "new rules" as I feel its just another issue to get around..
For the record..my rules, my field..perfect:)

Bushball event canned due to lack on interest from ppll who suggested it.

isnt the FLASHPOINT TEAM supplin the refs... It would be nice to see refs at the senario game.

:eek: Nappy's don't need any ref's for the Scenario Game come's down to honesty so with that being said you can keep shaking in your boot's fella cause im gonna be shooting the ball :D

Before you roll your eyes and cast judgement on something you know nothing about comedown and see what goes on.. Use the facilities check things out and hell if you still feel your eyes need pushed back in im happy to help...

Yip should be good I think we should run with idea of loading the Chopper up similar to what we done on Club Day B Man that was pretty kool.

Out of curiosity how many people will be playing on sunday total?
So far I think there will be between 40 - 50 people Gibb's.
That's if everybody that say's they are playing turn's up of course.
WE have some new guys coming down from Waimo..well Waimate really..JUst us Timvegas hip guys all called it that years ago...

Well, let me be the first to say, that was a great game. Plenty of paint in the air, a few good 'push backs', sneaking, teams talking to each other, etc... Highlights for me include Aaron and co missing the paintball equivalent of the jackpot (6 of the other team, backs turned, alerted by long range pot shots), and scruff, under a hail of covering fire, falling arse over breakfast down the slope... Well, you got down eh?
Next time i'll do more than just ref it hopefully!
heheh yeah, was that the first time or 2nd time down, 1st time i got lit up big time, 2nd time I got through and became a pain in the A
