Ok ... so how does this even get a retrial/appeal?

Clayton Weatherston gets an appeal on conviction because the 'trial was not fair', and the prosecution should not have been able to show photos of Sophie Elliot, and the wounds she suffered in the attack that killed her (200 odd stab wounds).

What kind of system do we have in NZ? It seems to be a legal system, but not a justice system!

They are giving him exactly what he wants.. the whole country wants to see him suffer, and im pretty sure we would all be happy if we never had to see his ..''blerk'.. face for as long as we live. Sure say he is appealing, but no air time.

I read an article a couple of weeks ago about one of the young female reporters, who had spent time with Sophies family, thought it would be a good idea/funny/ in some realm acceptable to go to a fancy dress party as Sophie. ... Now, thats just all heart and intelligences right there.
