Well, there are a few around, and it depends on what style of play you like as to what one will suit you.
Since i've only played at Kamikaze, that is the only one i'll comment on.
I've only been playing as a regular player for a few months now, but have 3 markers, 2 masks, and a pile of other gear, so you could so i'm getting into it!
At Kamikaze, they are uber safety conscious (personal markers taken to the range for testing, and kept there, masks on within 100m of the field, super long safety breifing, etc), and have a big focus on fair play. My first game out was a "big Sunday" where it's an all-comers mass game, so there are people of all skill levels. Instead of the regulars using their kill-all-mega-weapons, they use the same rental gear the kids that showed up use. It's strategy play, more than spraying paint as quick as possible.
It is a club that has the Big Sunday last Sunday of the month, but other times are booked play, and apparently the occaisonal team play etc. I'd say with more regulars, there could be more regular play.
Other fields have more "colour the woods orange" play, members weekly games, speedball, etc. Have a look around and talk to people that play regularly at the fields to see what the plusses are for them.
Ignore MOST of the comments you hear about players slagging off other fields. A lot of it can be sour grapes

There's Ultimate Challenge (Leithfield), Urban Paintball (Hallswell Junction Rd), Kamikazi (Miner's Bank Rd), and The Ultimate Game (McLeans Island Road).

I play at Ultimate Challenge, and occasionally Kamikazi.

Mint, Cheers bud. Do you play on a team or just turn up on social game days?

Social games days.

IMO unless you love tournaments it's pointless being on a team. Just join a club.

Teams mean practices, and then they mean giving up ALL your long weekends for damn tournaments. Screw that. I don't love paintball enough to give up my long weekends for it. I have a life outside of paintball.
