View Full Version : 5 man+1 to start soon hopefully :)

hi all, i am looking into a grassy field , very local(in Tawa/Grenada area), with vehicle access, where i am hoping to hold a 5 man hopper+1 every 4 weeks. will know for sure within the next 2 weeks if the venue is a go.it is surrounded by trees on two sides from memory, and has very limited access to the general public, and is not used by any other sports, or doggy walkers, or gymnasts or anyone else.
likely if all goes well, which it should :), we will have to go back to bringing scubas, but i dont see that as much of a problem, as the majority of play will be xball ish with hopper+1

will post here when details are finalised

FYI guys..
I ran a 5 man inJuly..Hopper plus 1 hybrid
7 pods between 5 guys..Only 2 guys could carry the 2 pods each..not transferrable during game time.
Made for some good games..
Let the 2 back guys just shoot abit more ..
But more importantly made the front guys more aware of the back guys
Made for some tight play as well as some last minute skirmish for the front guys ..knowing the back guys just may have some more left.

Oh that sounds good B2, but as my team can confirm, i'll prolly be given 3 pods and everyone else 1, cause I shoot way too much :s

well there is no update, only that i have been trying to get the info to the council dude for weeks, which got to him yesterday, so still no firm answer yet on the venue,

regardless of the new indoor going ahead, this outdoor thang will still go ahead as far as i can see, (assuming council ok),

grass is better really as far as getting good at pro tournament styles goes, so I'm in. Hopefully it all gets sorted soon.

NPPL and Millenium are often on artifitial surfaces so the whole grass thing isnt the big thing................The whole OUTDOOR thing is the awesome thing about it :)

still have no word from Council, but have decided not to carry on with this.I had thought that even though i have sold all my gear that i would still carry on with the 5 man, but after thinking about it a lot, i am not going to carry it on.
