I'm definitely going there. This'll be a big boost for Aussie paintball if it can stay profitable. We can only dream of a facility like this in NZ...

At least in OZ they do have restrictions on who can own a Pball marker and technically where it can be used..
In good ol NZ..Well now thats diff..so as much as It would be great to see one here I dont think it would ever get like that..Plus ppl whinge enough about cost now and how quickly you can shoot paint thru a mechancial rental let alone a Etek.

Something big like that would be great for the sport in NZ, but like B said, it'll never happen... Takes too many people and too much money, organization, not to mention interest, for the sport as it is at the moment

Well it could happen... if some decent investors could be convinced it's a good idea and you could find a business model that would work in NZ.

You'd probably want a TacOps urban course for (like http://CounterOps.co.nz ) and a reball field AND an indoor Xball field with viewing stands/PA system/bigscreen if you were going to do it really properly. Start up a national xball league with rep teams from the 4 or 5 main centres and you could begin to define paintball as a real sport in NZ. That's more or less what they're trying to do in Nelson, though on a prohibitive budget compared to what you'd need to really get it going. Mad props to those guys.

Rental eteks just seems like a dumb idea to me though. Frankly electronic guns in general don't make sense to me as rentals what with the batteries and extra complexity. Tippmanns are where its at.

Erm... so if someone has millions and millions of dollars they don't know what to do with, let me know...

Hehe would be awesome... Maybe someone like McDonalds would be interested, hell they gave new zealand soccer a go so they're obviously up for anything :D. Another problem is you'd have to decide where to have it, wellington, or auckland (or somewhere else big), by ignoring one city you miss out on all the paintballers there, since no ones going to go from one end of the nth island to the other just for a particular field. But yeah, it would be nice

You'd probably want a chain of fields, each one with it's own xball lite league which finds the best players to join the sponsored rep squad for that area (wellington in yellow, cantab in red etc.), who then travel around for big xball games against each other for prizes and to find the blackgats team to go play in the US...

Good luck with that though. Dreams are free I guess.
