Hi Guys,

I'm of the opinion that this is a better site for paintball (as in it has a better back end) but is lacking in the content.

What content do you think is needed and what ideas do you have for driving traffic to the site/making it worthwhile for people to visit daily/weekly?

A lot of that is in the works anyways - specifically to do with articles, a section for newbies with all the legal stuffs you need to know, and event write ups etc. etc.

Maybe a section just for NZ ball youtubes :D ?

Nz Ball youtubes sounds pretty cool. I think it had already been mentioned, but a review section would be very helpful. I think that the more new stuff that gets written here, the more often that people will check it. I know that initially I didnt check this site very often because not a whole lot was being said.

An easy to find/navigation is important, especially for new people. Up and coming tournaments, as vijil said writups on previous tournaments... I think once a certain amount of people get on here and post more, the more other people will check up on here.

Well... personally, things that make me join/stick with a site are

0: it's updated regularly (most important)
1: it's official
2: it's easy to use
3: it has the info I need - including fun stuff like vids and pics
4: people are helpful
5: it looks hot

best sites in NZ:
0: paintball.co.nz
1: probably this one after a convo I had with marty last night
2: this one
3: nelson paintball association one in terms of vids and pics. This one for official legal stuff. Now that we have youtube thingee though .... :D
4: all about level, though this one may have an edge.
5: nelsons one was, not sure if they recovered from that hack, I'd need to check. This one will be soon.

I'm probably missing heaps of stuff.

I think what would make a particular site great is everybody joining without bringing in old pointless crap, political and dissagreements. Take when Seth tried to sell an XSV ego for a friend and it got to 52 posts.... half of them pointless crap.

That's all about having forum rules and enforcing them. I've seen the thread you're referring to, and just about all of the posts in there would have been deleted.

That said I'm testing a new buy/sell/swap thing at the moment. Should be live in a few days :)

Marty, you should add this RSS feed to the front page:

http://news.google.co.nz/news?hl=en&ned=nz&q=Paintball&ie=ISO-8859-1

Its a google news feed for paintball

I'd suggest a video forum, there are loads of vids out that people would like to download.
