So as to jump on the 3-man bandwagon, and not be left behind ... we are going to be running a 3-player series here in Wellington to try and get things moving.

With that in mind we are proud to announce the Sire Challenge Cup (www.sirepaintball.com).

Round One
Date: Sunday, July 24th
Time: Captain meeting at 9.30am, first shots at 10am
Location: TAG Pomare Field
Cost: $60 per team

Additional Info Hopper + 1 format (max of a 220rnd loader) Rotational ref'ing on the day Field Paint only - usual TAG rates apply BYO Air or the compressor will also be available on the day @ $7 per person.
Please email or post here to register (pay on the day) so we have an indication on numbers.

Email: sirecup@kx.co.nz

Also looking for volunteers to help set up the field on the day for reduced entry cost. Let me know if you're interested.

There will be three rounds in the competition this year, with the remaining dates to be announced in the near future. In 2006 we will look to expand to 5 rounds.

Im keen for this. Is Sire sponsering the event? Prizes for winners? I'll be there to help set up the field.

Looking for 2 more to join my Team. Please sumbit your application via PM and i'll go through and make a short list and interview those who make it to see who would be suitable.

What are the costs for the training on the 24th (Field fee, FPO?)? I may skip the 3-man due to cost and just do the training. However, if we've got an odd number of people (i.e. 5 or 8 guys), then I'll be in to make a team viable.

I Think we should use our own air as a team, Its a cheaper option
Our 3 man team went through a cylindar for the day works out a lot cheaper 7 bucks each.

I'll be there to help set up - I think all of Hybrid should be there if they are in the area.

Hey Pete, would you and your lovely wife like to come and stay at the Muppet Mansion in the weekend? (just making it easy....)

See you then!

Let us know if you need anyone else to come and crash here too, but you guys get the spare room.

Thanks Kate. We'll see you there. Looks like Skinny has made other arrangements, so it's just Megz and I. We're due at about 1900'ish.

Nice avatar BTW. Pinup art rocks...

Okay - for a variety of reasons we've had 3 teams pull out, so the team list is:

Brotherhood
Impact
Diesel
Hawkes Bay team (Name?)
Evil 1
Evil 2
Cynical
Smash & Grab
?? (Evil Mexican team - Ant's what are you calling it?)
So 9 teams total - Hybrid has volunteered to ref on the day ...

Four spots left if anyone else wants to come along. First in first served.

Okay see everyone on Sunday.

Rules in force will be NPPL 2005 (www.nppl.tv) ones, with some minor modifications (around field size, points, etc).

Captains meeting at 9.30 to discuss a couple of issues for all and sundry. If you're not there you don't get to plead ignorance.

Cheers

Average game time was 1m05s over the 55 games played. Quickest time was 22sec by Diesel and longest was 3m04s by 'Pies.

With that in mind game time will be reduced to 3min for the next rounds. Enjoy!

FFS! Can we please have some standard rules here! I mean gawd! That's what we have a national standards body. And then these bloody event organisers keep going and changing the rules. Sheesh!
