So I'm getting a powerful leak out of the front hole on the bottom of the ASA whenever I turn the air on. This only started happening today, and I haven't changed anything. Before I could turn it on far enough and then the leak would stop, but not anymore. Used to be that the gun just went "pop" quietly and then it was on. I thought maybe the o ring around the pin in there was bung bit it seems to be fine.

Is this something that happens when the tank is running out of pressure? My tank says 1000 so that seems a bit odd.

Only other question is, which way in does the pin go? Notch at the front or the back? I can't remember how it was before any more and it keeps falling out.

ok if it what i think its is
remove the bottle
unscrew the on off right out look into the front of the ASA body you should see a screw slot inside. give that a tighten.
replace the on off, regas and see if that helps

what notch/ pin are you refering?

It's the pin that the knob pushes which then pushes the thing on the tank to make the air come through

Aint no screw slots in there that I can see. Just the threads from the knob, then a small o ring and the end of the metal pin sticking through at the end there.

Hahaha I like your ference to the word "thing" thats about as far as my tech skill goes as well. But if pins are falling out that probably isnt normal and isnt doing it any good...

All the o - rings are fine and the ion is having no problems with the same tank.

Might do that Marty.

Do you still have the manual. I just had a look at a pdf one and there appears to be a small o-ring on the activation rod inside the ASA. My guess is that its either that o-ring, or it hasnt been locked in properly and isnt seated quite right.

Have you taken that pin out/ checked it?

Yes I have, and that o-ring *seems* fine... even if it isn't I don't have any spares small enough. I'm pretty sure that the leak is something to do with that o-ring though yeah, because the air must be getting through there somehow in order to be leaking at full force out of the front hole. My air tank is almost empty just from trying to get it to work...

Go to a pnuematics/hydraulics shop. I went to EATONS (fluid power solutions)
They had pretty much every o-ring in existance from like 1mm to 20cm. I got 5 tiny o-rings for my HPA fill valve, cost me like 80c for 5 :D
