Womens Paintball

I've heard that there is a womens series in america. whats it like?

There is no seperate Womens series, at least nothing major.

There are a few all/mostly female teams though. The Femmes Fatale and the Fat Lady's Charms are both all female, and LTZ Destiny (which I think has disbanded?) had only two or three guys on a roster of ten. I'm pretty sure one of those teams managed to take out NPPL Div2 at at least one event. Do a youtube search for those names.

That's right, actually win Div2. That's a pretty big deal when you realise that no NZ team would even be competitive in Division 3...

There doesn't seem to be any specific reason why guys would be better at paintball than girls, unlike some other sports. So they don't bother having seperate competitions.

It was LTZ Destiny that took the NPPL San Diego DII in 2006. They still seem to be kicking around in DII, just dropped the LTZ tag, and lie 11th on the table (48 points).

I could see the point of Women's introductory events, mainly because of the attitudes of many male players (Bae tells a couple of horror stories).

Also sports like lawn bowls, shooting and others segregate even though the competitors are evenly matched. It's just because sometimes people feel uncomfortable competing with the opposite sex like that.
