The Divisions.
Division 1 or Pro-Am Division. These are teams that have competed in various local and international tournaments. They are allowed to use their own markers provided they follow the the PALS rules for marker settings.

Division 2 or Amateur Division. Teams in this division having competed in at least one international tournament and various local tournaments. They can use their own markers like Div 1.

Division 3 or Novice Division. These are teams that have experience in paintball and have participated in local tournaments. This division is only open to Asian Teams and will be using house markers provided by the organizers.

Corporate Division. To encourage more people to join, this tournament has opened its doors to local teams that would want to try out the sport and engage in some friendly competition despite them having no experience in the sport or in joining tournaments. Most of the teams will be coming from the call centers in the Philippines. House markers, for this division will be provided by the Tournament Organizers.


The Format of the Tournament.

Rules: Millenium Rules will be strictly enforced for the tournament
Format: 5-Man with 2 Reserves/Alternates


The Expected International and Local Team Participation.

Pro-Am (Open to International Teams) : 20 teams (140 participants)
Team Entry Fee: $450 USD
Amateur (Open to International Teams) : 10 teams (70 participants&)
Team Entry Fee: $250 USD
Novice (Asian Teams Only) : 10 teams (70 participants)
Team Entry Fee: $150 USD
Corporate (Local Teams Only) : 15 teams (105 participants)
Team Entry Fee: $150 USD


The International Teams that have joined previous legs and those that have expressed their intent to join the tournament are:
ASIA: Malaysia, Guam, UAE, Iran, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei
OTHER COUNTRIES: South Africa, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, India, Korea, Pakistan and Turkey

So if a team isn't from Asia (does nz count?) and hasn't played an international comp before, then they can't play?

More that they just arne't expected to attend due to costs, lack of interest whatever I guess. Could be a language barrier thing to. Its also part of a series (PALS) which a few of us have ID cards for. BEst thing about that is Millenium RAMPING :-P

They tend to refer to NZ as part of asia in this situation... Due to us attending the KL events in 2004 and 2005.
